Introduction

This route is designed especially for tourists who are interested in photography. During the trip, you will visit the Badain Jaran Desert, the old populus euphratica forest, the Nuoer Lake, and the sites of the ancient cities etc. All those special sceneries should be record by your cameras.

Day by day itinerary
Day 1
Start form Guangzhou to Yinchuan by plain. You have a short period of time to view the night scenes of Yinchuan and then check in the hotel there.
Day 2
Leave for Youqi in the morning, and along the way you can appreciate the Helan Mountain, and Alxa Zuoqi. After reaching Yabrai, check in the hotel there. (The trip of the day is about 7 hours and 650 kilometers in total; you will have lunch in the roadside restaurant.)
Day 3
Go to visit the most beautiful dessert of China－the Badain Jaran Desert－in the morning by SUV. And then, you can take pictures in Badan Lake. During the trip, you can experience the thrillers of surfing the ocean of sand. Climb the Fairy Mountain after lunch (the local flavor food). Upon on the Mountain, you can have a panoramic view of the Fairy Lake, and the Badain Jaran Temple, which is called “the Forbidden City of the Desert”. After visiting the Badain Jaran Temple, we will tour the number one lake of the desert－the Nuoer Lake. The supper served is the local food of the Inner Mongolia. (The trip in the desert will take 2 to 4 hours.)
Day 4
View the sunrise in the morning, and have a distant view of the Mountain Everest while traveling on jeep. Return to the entrance of the tourist site and leave for Ejinaqi by bus, during which you can appreciate the natural beauty of the desert. Reach the populus euphratica forest in the evening and take pictures of the sunset. (The trip by jeep is about 1 or 2 hours; the trip by bus is about 8 hours with a length of 700 kilometers; dinners will be served at the roadside restaurants.)
Day 5
Take pictures of the Populus euphraticas by the Heishui River in the morning, then visit the Heishui city－ the ancient city of the West Xia Dynasty and the Yuan Dynast. By visiting the sites of this ancient city, you can feel the prosperity of it in old days. Then you will go back. Along the way, we will visit the Strange Forest, which will cost you a lot of films. (Pay for the transport by yourselves if local jeeps for dealing with emergencies are needed.)
Day 6
Get up early in the morning to take pictures of the Badain Jaran Desert and the Second Road Bridge of Ejinaqi. Then, go to the third to eight road ridge for picture taking. There you can admire China’s biggest and oldest Populus euphratica, which is 27.5 meters high and has a history of 880 years. After lunch, you can have a rest in the hotel. (You can visit the Juyan Lake－where the famous Chinese poet Wang Wei created a large number of poems－at your own expense.) Later, we will visit the Ceke Port－one of the three biggest port in inner Mongolia. If time permits, we can take pictures of the sunset and other sceneries in the First Road Bridge and the Second Road Bridge. (The 100- kilometer trip will take 2 hours)
Day 7
Return to Yinchuan by bus after breakfast, and then take pictures of the Great Wall in Sanguankou aftter climbing over the Helan Mountain. Visit the imperial tombs of the West Xia Dynasty in the evening. There, we can tour the Museum of the imperial tombs. Appreciate the vast wolfberry garden on the way back to Yinchuan. After supper, you can view the places of interests such as the Jade Emperor Pavilion in the city freely.（The whole trip is 780 kilometers that will take 10 hours on the asphalt road; the lunch will be serves at the roadside restaurant of Wuliji.）
Day 8
After breakfast, visit the mosque in the city of Yinchuan to take pictures and feel the folk cultures of the Hui nationality. Then, we will go to the eco-tourism scenic spots of the Sand Lake. You can experience the sceneries combining the beauty of both the desert and the southern China here. And this lake is a gathering place of thousands kinds of migratory birds. Leave for Guangzhou by plain after the visiting, and finish the wonderful trip.

2) Communication: Standard room of two star hotels in Yinchuan, standard room of ordinary hotels in other places, shared rooms (the wash room is also shared) of the nomadic people in Badain Jaran Desert.
3) Food: 5 breakfasts and 13 dinners. (Three of the lunches are dry food.)
4) Tickets: The first gate tickets for the listed places of interests.
5) Guide service: The full-time guide service for groups of 16 or more than 16 people, and local guide service for groups of less than 16 people.
