Founded in 1952, East China University of Political Science and Law, is one of
the first preeminent institutions for higher learning of politics and law
established by the People’s Republic of China. ECUPL covers an area of more than
1300 mu,with both Changning and Songjiang campuses in Shanghai. On average it
has 20,000 students and more than 1,400 faculty members. At present, ECUPL has
15 schools and departments, including LLD and LLM programs with outstanding
reputations. There are 10 majors for doctorate candidates, 26 for masters and 23
for bachelors and post-doctorate outside placement in public service and private
industry.The university now has more than 700 international students studying
Chinese LLB programs, Master programs, Doctoral programs, Non-degree programs
and Chinese language program. The students are coming from all over the world,
with more than 50 nationalities.
