Lhasa-Tsedang-Samye-Woka Valley-Amando-The Oracle Lake Lhamo Latso
Day 1
Fly in and coach to Lhasa.
Day 2-3
Lhasa city tour.
Day 4
Leave Lhasa for Tsedang, check in Tsedang Hotel, afternoon visit Tradruk Temple and Yumbu Lhakang Palace.
Day 5
Early morning drive along the Yarlung Tsangpo River about 35km and cross the river to visit Samye Monastery. After a light lunch box, continue driving to Chimpuk caves, a sacred place for Tibetan Buddhist fellows to make their meditation, here the geographical formation is queen and fantastic and almost all the high ranking Lamas in Tibetan history used to be here for their mortification. Upon arrive, set up your tents.
Day 6
Return to Samye and drive to Woka Valley, here you can see several hot springs which is said to be helpful for many kinds of diseases. Visit some of most important Gelugpa Sect monasteries such as Cholung and Chosang Monasteries (if time permits), check in Local guesthouse.
Day 7
Hire horses or Yaks from Pejing in Woka Valley, walk up about 7 hours to Amando, you’ll find some of black nomad’s tents. Edelweiss and some small blue flowers are grown everywhere.
Day 8
From Amando walk up with Yaks about 1/2 hour to the Gyelung la (4968m), About 4 hours trek to Chokorgye Monastery, built in 1509 by the 2nd Dalai Lama Gendan Gyatso.
Day 9
Trek for 4 hours from Chokorgyer to the Oracle Lake lhamo. Every Dlai Lama and Penchen Lama had come here at least once in his life for researching his future.
Day 10
Return to Chokorgyer from lake takes 3 hours walk.
Day 11
Drive about 210km to Tsedang, on the way visit Dakpo Tratsang Monastery this is originally a Karma Karggu sect Monastery, in late 17th century it was converted to the Gelukpa Sect.
Day 12
Leave Tsedang and catch a flight to Chengdu or other destinations.
