Guideline to the University


Our University offers free pick up service if you come together with your friends above 5 students together.

For individual students comes to TUST, please print this paper in your hand. If your flight is too late to Beijing, for safety reason, we suggest that you’d better to live one night near the airport hotel. Because coach and subway may be closed.

Routine 1:  北京首都机场 From Beijing Capital Airport

乘坐北京机场内往返城市之间的大巴班车, 到天津的天环客运站下车，然后乘出租车到达科大。
1.    When you get Beijing airport, ask for an information desk. Find City coach area.

2.    Take shuttle bus (city coach) at Beijing Capital Airport, buy tickets（about82 RMB for one person ask for the tickets station） Tell the seller you will go to Tianjin City, and get off the bus stop at Tianjin Tianhuan Terminal Station--天津天环客运站. (about 2.5 to 3 hours)

3.    Finally take a taxi to TUST.
        打车科技大学的地址：天津市河西区大沽南路1038号天津科技大学 (小海地河西校区-靠近复兴门地铁站十三中旁边) 进入学校之后， 请把留学生送到-国际交流中心2楼前台处 （前台电话：022-60601355）
Show the above TUST Address To driver：Ask the driver to print a voucher to you. (Normally about 30 RMB depending on the traffic time.)

Fee Structure





Visa and Residence Permit


When the international students come to China for study, they must hold their ordinary passport and visa study (X1 or X2) visa, to enter to Chinese Customs. One should apply the visa first until booking the tickets during the holiday.

一、X Visa：

The international students should hold the X1 visa if they study in China more than six months, and the overseas personnel who is holding the X1 visa should apply for Residence Permit within 30 days upon the entrance into China;
1. Preparing all these documents to apply Residence Permit
a. An Ordinary Valid Passport
b. Admission Notice（signed by the student）
c．JW202 or JW201 (Yellow page).
d. The Physical Examination Report: medical check-up materials made outside Tianjin should be verified at Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau in Tianjin (abbr. as hospital). Details as shown below：

e.Application Letter issued from TUST- International Exchange Office.
f.Visa and Residence Permit Application Form.
g.Certificate for Temporary Residence (not needed for those living on Campus).
h.A two-inch (passport size) photo with bar code.(One can get picture from the Public Security Bureau of Immigration)
i.Application Fee：RMB 400 yuan (Valid within 1 year) Photo RMB60 yuan
j.Please go to Exit-Entry Administration Bureau.Address:天津市出入境管理局。地址：天津市河北区民主道寿安街19号.受理时间：星期一至星期五，9:00—11:30am 13:30—17:00pm.咨询电话：022-24458825 在报到注册期间，学校将帮助学生集中安排一次在校内的签证申请，请留意开学的具体通知。

2. Extension of Visa .
Those who are holding Residence Permit (X visa) issued in Tianjin can extend their visa with the following materials:.
a. An Ordinary Passport
b. Certificate for Temporary Residence (not needed for those living on Campus)
c. A two-inch (passport size) photo with bar code (One can get picture from the Public Security Bureau of Immigration.
d. Application Letter issued from TUST- International Exchange Office.
e. Visa and Residence Permit Application Form.
f. Student who transfers from other university should offer us the Transfer Certification Letter or Certificate of Completion from the former university.
Note：
For those changes of address: Submit the registration certificate issued by the local Public Security Institution. For those changes of universities: Please submit Admission Notice and the new official school letters.If one wants to stay in China after the visa expired, you should contact the teacher in International Exchange Office E1004 office at least one month / four weeks ago of the visa validity. (Except weekends and any holidays).

3. Overdue visa:
Overdue visa will be punished: ￥500 per day for expiry and maximum fine is ￥50,000 Yuan. Those holding serious overdue visa will be detained or expelled from China.

4. For those who move out of the city shall submit the following materials:
a. A valid passport and valid Residence Permit.
b. Fill in “Foreigner visa, Residence Permit Application Form”.
c. A recent two-inch front passport-size photos without hat on. (White or blue background certificate photo).
d. The original department official letter.
e. The new department official letter.

5. For those who move into the city shall submit the following materials:
a. A valid passport and valid Residence Permit.
b. Fill in “Foreigner visa，Residence Permit Application Form”.
c. A recent two-inch front passport-size photos without hat on. (White or blue background certificate photo).
d. Application for the Residence Permit of the required material, please submit the following documents: (Don’t need to provide a Health Certificate)


二、Exit China Customs 

For the international students who will not return back to China after studying, they should leave the country with the valid visa or Residence Permit before the expiry date.

三、 Lost Passport

If the international students lost their passport, they should immediately make a police report at the police station where their passport is lost. They should apply for lost passport proof at Exit & Entry Administration Bureau under the Public Security Bureau of Tianjin. Then, they should apply for a new passport in its embassy in China. After obtaining the new Passport，the students can go to the tenth floor of the main building E1004 office International Exchange office for applying Visa. (If you need any help about this matter, please inform the teacher immediately when the passport was lost.)

四、Others

1. Do not alter, damage any kinds of visas, documents and certificates issued by the International Student Office. Or the offenders will be punished and fined accordingly.
2. Schools do not invite students’ family members to accompany them to study.
