Study Period, Length of Study, Tuition and accommodation
1. Study Period, length of study, tuition
Basic schooling for international students is four years for undergraduate studies and three years for postgraduate studies. University education is fundamentally based on a credit system. The length of study for undergraduate is 3 to 8 years with the tuition of 20,000 yuan RMB/year; the length of study for postgraduate is 2 to 6 years with the tuition of 25, 000 yuan RMB/year. Visiting students are on a flexible basis, the tuition for them is 4, 000 yuan RMB/month.
2. Scholarship and others
For the international students with outstanding grades, the Institute will provide them with special scholarship or exemption of part of the tuition.
3. accommodation fees and others
Accommodation fees: for single room,10000 yuan RMB per year; for double room, 5000 yuan RMB per year per person; for visiting students, 4000 yuan RMB per month. Fees for textbooks and teaching facilities should be paid before school begins. Except for pianos, all the instruments should be prepared by applicants
III. Qualifications
1. undergraduates
Obtained a senior high school graduation certificate. capable of communicating in Chinese.
2. postgraduates
Obtained a bachelor degree or two years after graduation from senior college.
3. visiting students
Any students interested in art. Corresponding teaching plans should be carried out according to the levels and requirements of the applicants.
IV. Application and qualification check
Applicants could sign up at the International Exchange Division of Guangxi Arts Institute or by email or letters.
1. undergraduates or visiting students
a. copies of ID or passport, graduation diploma;
b. four recent photos 2 inch ( with name of applicant on the back);
c. application form (could also be downloaded from the college website)
d. application fee: 300 yuan RMB
2. postgraduates
a.copies of ID or passport, graduation diploma and bachelor's degree certificate;
b.four recent photos ( passport size, with name of applicant on the back);
c.recommendation letters from two experts/professors;
d.application form (could alos be downloaded from the college website)
e. application fee: 800 RMB
Upon receiving the application materials, experts will examine them and issued the Admission Notice and Visa Application Form (JW202) to qualified students by mail. By presenting these documents and other documents as instructed in the Form JW202, you should be able to apply to the Chinese embassy or Consulate in your region for a student's visa (X visa).
V. Credit system, graduation and conferring of degrees
Undergraduates and postgraduates, on their successful completion of all the required course and taking required credits, will be conferred graduation certificates and degrees in conformity with relevant regulations (note: undergraduates and postgraduates should be required to passed at least Grade 6 of HSK or the equivalent Chinese proficiency before graduation); Trainees, who successfully complete the training program, shall be issued Certificates of Advanced Study.
VI. Registration
New students should register to the Institute with their Admission Notice in hand within the time limit specified. At the beginning of every semester, enrolled students should register at the International Exchange Division with their student identity cards, within the registration time. Please notify the International Exchange Division of the arrival time of the flight, train or bus for pickup service 3 or 6 six days in advance.
VII. Others
1.The students, after their arrival in China, are required to go to a designated quarantine center for physical examination or to have their physical examination records certified. If their physical conditions are not suitable to study on campus, their student's status will be can be canceled and certain fees will be returned.
2. During the stay on campus, students shall abide by the laws and decrees of the Chinese government and observe the rules and regulations of Guangxi Arts Institute, and respect the custom of the Chinese people.
3. Students must pay their tuition and fees when they register.
