The School of Business has international economy and trade department, finance and banking department, department of economics, tourism and hotel management department, human resources department, business administration department, electronic commerce department, marketing department, accounting department, engineering management department and foreign trade department. Besides, it has tourism development research institute, research institute of global economy, business management and marketing research center, etc. This school has 6 master’s programs, including global economy, international trade, finance and banking, etc. It also has 9 undergraduate’s programs, such as international trade, global economy, business administration, accounting, marketing, engineering management, etc. And the global economy major is a provincial level key discipline. There are over 3,400 students at this school.
Currently, the School of Business has 151 teaching and administrational staff and 132 of them are full-time teachers, in which, 14 have doctoral degrees, 80 have masters’ degrees and 32 have bachelor’s degrees. The professors’ number is 13, the associate professors’ number is 40 and the lecturers’ number is 51.
Some of the teachers are contract research fellow of the state development research center, some are members of the expert group of the State Education Commission and some are committee members of the consultative committee of the people’s government of Hubei province, etc. In recent years, this school has published over 80 monographs and teaching materials. It has also published over 2,000 theses in domestic and foreign journals. Besides, it has undertaken over 10 state-level research projects, over 50 provincial and ministerial level research projects and 40 university-level research projects. 60 teachers have won the scientific research prizes.
