Introduction
The The Department of Ecology is a key part of the 1894,providing students with the opportunity to share ideas, expertise and facilities, and encourages multidisciplinary studies in all areas of ecology.
The school currently has 80 research scientists, lecturing and support staff, including foreign teachers from different countries and regions,many of whom are internationally acknowledged experts in their respective fields of interest. It has also over 1000 registered students.
The program produces graduates who are able to document human impact on the landscape, explore environmental conflicts and issues, develop environmental policy and law, and manage the environment sustainably. Students will also learn about underlying causes of environmental problems and are presented with possible solutions from a range of scientific, technological and societal perspectives.
Career opportunities
The degrees offered within the Ecology studies field prepare students for a wide range of careers which make direct use of your degree, working in China or overseas for environmental consultants, the forestry industry and water companies. As well as work providing environmental policy advice to government agencies. Ecology studies graduates may also decide to undertake postgraduate study in the form of further academic study or research.
