1. Introduction
The Master in Finance program started in 2009. The objective of the program is to deliver to students’ modern financial theory, sophisticated quantitative tools and practical knowledge of the financial industry.
2. Who should apply?
Candidates for SAIF’s Master in Finance program must have a strong analytical background. The course-work introduces to students the necessary skill sets of a financial professional. Upon the completion of the program, the students will have a good understanding of the theories and quantitative methods of modern finance, and how they are applied to real business situations.

5. Duration
The program is two years in total. Upon completion of all coursework and the thesis, students will be conferred by Shanghai Jiao Tong University a Master degree certificate and a graduation diploma. Those students who finish the program requirements in less than two years are eligible for consideration of early graduation.
6. Fees
The tuition for an international student of 2011’s entering class is US$20,000, payable in two installments. Each payment has to be made at the beginning of each academic year. The tuition includes the user fees for all SJTU's facilities during the entire two-year program. However, it does not cover living costs. Medical insurance is available at additional cost.
