Shandong Jiaotong University was established in the year of 1956. It offers a
variety of bachelor and master programs, and enrolls students from all over
China. The university has developed into a multi-discipline higher education
institution with its degree programs spreading in 7 discipline categories,
namely, liberal arts, science, engineering, management, economics, laws and art.
The university is located in Jinan, the capital city of Shandong province, and
Weihai, a coastal city in the province, and has 3 campuses. The whole school
occupies 2,203 Chinese Mu (1469 hectars), while the floorage occupies about 0.39
million square meters. The university consists of 13 schools, and there are more
than 20,000 full-time students, near 1,300 staff members, and about 900 teaching
faculty. The university has more than 70 labs and the library houses about 1.53
million volumes of books.
