1• Chinese Language & Cultural Study Program:
A.Short Term Program(One-Month-Class)
Designed to acquaint students with the essential of the Chinese language. Courses offered will
include intensive spoken Chinese. Chinese Pronunciation, Elementary Chinese and Chinese Culture.
B. Short Term Program(Three-Month-Class)
Designed to acquaint students with the basic knowledge of the Chinese language and culture.Courses offered will include Chinese Pronunciation, elementary Chinese, Listening Comprehension and Chinese Culture.
C. Short Term Program(one term)
Designed to acquaint students with the basic knowledge of the Chinese language and cultural .Courses offered will include Chinese Pronunciation, elementary Chinese, Listening Comprehension, Chinese Reading and Chinese Culture.
D. Short Term Program(school preparatory course)
Designed to acquaint students with the basic knowledge of the Chinese language and cultural Courses offered will include Chinese Pronunciation, elementary Chinese, Listening Comprehension, Chinese Reading, writing, Calligraphy and Chinese Culture.
2• Chinese Marshal Art Training Courses
Main Courses: Basic Chinese Language, Chinese MarshalArt(Taiji, Shadow boxing, Sword Arts and the Lion Dance)
Duration: Three months
3• Music and Painting Short-term Training Courses
Music Major:
Basic Chinese Language, Chinese Traditional Instrucments (Alto fiddle, Dulcimer, Gu Zheng, Bamboo flute, etc.) National Vocal Music, Chinese Music Appreciation, History of Chinese Music
Painting Major:
Basic Chinese Language, Chinese Painting, Chinese Painting and Calligraphy, History of Chinese Painting, Chinese Painting Appreciation, etc.

Admission Requirements
1• Aliens, Chinese of foreign citizenship and overseas Chinese who are interested in studying in China, and are willing to observe the laws and decrees of the Chinese Government, and abide by the rules and regulations of the college and respect Chinese customs and are in good health, may apply to the college for admission.
2• Applicants who want to take an undergraduate course or to get a bachelor's degree, should pass the Chinese Language Proficiency Test (HSK), and pass the entrance examination for foreign citizens.
3• (1) Applicants who want to enter the pre-college class must have a high school diploma and they must be over the age of 16.
(2) Applicants who want to enter the classes of 4-year or 2-year systems must have a high school diploma and they must be under the age of 25.
(3) Applicants who want to study in various kinds of short-term classes are not subjected to any age limit or diploma limit.
4. Date for Submission of Applications:
Zhanjiang Normal University practices a two-semester system. The first semester is from September to January, the second one from February to July. May 31 each year will be the deadline for submission of application for the following academic year for long-term applicants. Candidates for short-term learning or advanced study can apply at any time.
Application Procedures
1• Applicants are requested to contact the Foreign Affairs Office of ZJNU for application forms.
2• Applicants should submit the following materials with US$40 admission fee to the Foreign Affairs Office, Zhanjiang Normal University
3• Applicants of Short-term study: Application from, Study plan
4• Applicants of Pre-college Program: Application from, Certificate of graduation, Transcript of complete academic records
5• Applicants of 4-year and 2-year Program: Application from, a high-school diploma , Transcript of complete academic records (including the HSK Test Certificate)
6• An applicant who has been admitted will receive an Admission Notice, a Visa Application for Foreigners Wishing to Study in China (JW202 Form) and a Physical Examination Record for Foreigners, with which he/she can present to a nearby Chinese Embassy or Consulate for an entry Visa to China.
Tuition & Fees
1• Admission fee: US$40
2• Tuition fees: The students of short-term program pay all the fees when registering. The students of long-term program can pay their fees one semester in advance.
A• Short-term (one month) program: US$230 for one person.
B• Short-term (three months) program: US$550 (US$600 for the programs of music and visual art)
C• Program of half a academic year (a term): US$800 (US$850 for the program of music and visual art)
D• Program of one-year system: US$1800 for one year (US$1900 for one year for the program of music and visual art)
E• Program of 4-year system: US$1800 for one year (US$1900 for one year for the program of music ).
3• Dormitory fee:
A• Two-bed room with a bathroom, a water heater, a TV set, an air conditioner, a washing machine, and a public telephone: US$5 per bed for one day
B• A single room with a bathroom, a water heater, a TV set, an air conditioner, a washing machine, and a public telephone: US$9 per bed for one day
4• The students of the short-term program pay all the fees when registering.
5• The students of the long-term program can pay their fees one semester in advance. Boarding Expenses: Dining expenses are borne by the student (Approximately US$ 3 per day).
6• Boarding Expenses:
Students may have their meals at the dinning hall for students . Dining expenses are the responsibility of the students.(about US$2 per day)
7• Other Expenses: The costs of textbooks, medical expenses, transportation fees and excursion fees will be paid by the students.
8• Practicing fees will be paid by the students who enrolled in the program for degree.
9• Eighty percent of the tuition will be refunded if a student withdraws or transfers to another school before the semester starts. Tuition will not be refunded after a semester has started.
10• If there is a previous agreement, the fees can be paid according to the standard of the agreement.
