Application Procedures
All applicants should fill in Application Form for Foreigners Wishing to Study at College of
Arts and Science of Beijing Union University and send it together with the official high school certificate to the Overseas Student Center of the College of Arts and Science of Beijing Union University directly or via mail.
Overseas Students Center will issue the Admission Letter as well as JW202 form authorized by the Chinese Education Committee to all applicants who are qualified. Applicants should apply to the embassy for an X visa with the aforementioned documents. When come to register for school, applicants should hold the original Admission Letter and JW202 form.

Certificate
Undergraduate students will obtain undergraduate diplomas if they are qualified in all the required courses and passed HSK Band 6. Qualified students, upon passing the dissertation argumentation, will be issued the Bachelor’s Degree in accordance with the Degree Law of P. R. China.
Short-term learning program features the language study programs in the college. By attending this program, students can acquire the proficiency of everyday Chinese in a short period. The main courses include spoken Chinese, listening, plus calligraphy, Chinese songs, martial arts and so on. Sightseeing tours are arranged on weekends. The program offers chances for students to visit famous scenic and historic spots in Beijing, such as the Great Wall, the Forbidden City, the Summer Palace, Beihai Park, Lama Temple, the Confucius Temple, Peking University and Wangfujing Street. Students can find themselves emerged in the five-thousand-year Chinese history and culture.

The overall aim of the teaching is to achieve students’ proficiency in Chinese and to equip them with well-knit basic knowledge of the language and culture of China. What we want to forge are talents familiar with the cultural background and current situation of China.
Courses & Class Scale
1. Courses
Listening, speaking, reading, writing, pronunciation and journals comprehension are the basic subjects concerning Chinese learning. Overseas students are divided into different classes according to their Chinese proficiency. Tutorship is arranged for students in order that they could pass the HSK examinations with less difficulty. In addition, extra-curriculum courses such as film appreciation, martial arts, calligraphy, painting and Chinese songs are available freely for overseas students to choose.
