The School of Management was formed in July 2001 and plays a vital role in Beijing Normal University’s goal to become one of the best universities in China.
The School of Management has three academic departments: the Department of Information Technology and Management, the Department of System Science, and the Department of Public Management. The school has five doctoral programs, twelve master programs and four undergraduate programs. In addition, the school has a Master of Public Administration (MPA) education and training degree.
Currently, there are more than 60 faculties and over 800 full-time students at the School of Management. In addition to its solid teaching and research background, the School of Management is responsible for more than 60 on-going re-search projects including the National Natural Science and Social Science Foundation of China. These funds have raised more than 5 million yuan.
The School of Management strongly believes in teaching from its establishment. Seminars on innovative teaching techniques and disciplinary guidelines are regularly held to optimize training curriculums. This system of collective preparation and teaching evaluations contributes to the high quality of the school’s teaching staff.
Since established, the School of Management has actively conducted various communication activities on an international level. It has made academic and collaborative ties with America, France, Australia, Japan, Singapore, Hong Kong and Taiwan. Current projects include BNU-Australia cooperative Master-aiming program and BNU-Hong Kong Masters cooperative training program.
Every year more than ten professors go abroad for academic visits and further study and nearly thirty more participate in different kinds of international conferences. Meanwhile, the school frequently invites famous experts from home and abroad, officials, and entrepreneurs to give lectures at BNU successfully enhancing and broadening communications between BNU and the world.

Application time
Undergraduate students: Application materials are expected to arrive at the Office of International Scholars and Students' Affairs by June 19th 2009.
Master graduate and Ph.D students: Application materials are expected to arrive at the Office of International Scholars and Students’ Affairs by June 15th for the fall semester and by Dec 15th for the spring semester.
Entry requirements
Undergraduate students: Between 18 and 40 years of age; high school diploma or higher academic degree certificate; average grade of B or higher; HSK lever Six or above
Master graduate students: Applicants for the Master’s Degree program should have at least a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent.
Doctoral students: Applicants for the PhD program should have at least a Master’s Degree or equivalent.
