About Physical Examination Table, Visa, Residing Permit, Extension of Residing Permit
In order to make it convenient for the international students to process their physical examination table, visa, residing permit, extension of residing permit, and other related things, the following information based on the rules and regulations issued by China’s security organizations is offered for their reference:
1.Physical Examination Table:
In accordance with “China Health and Immunization Law”, international students must provide a standard Physical Examination Table issued by Liaoning Provincial Health and Immunization Bureau, after their entry into China. Without this table, the students must go to Liaoning Provincial Health and Immunization Bureau Travel Medicare Center (MC for short) for the physical examination. If they have already got the table, the students may go to MC to change it to a standard table. If , during their study, they go back or travel to another country, and then return to Bohai University to go on with their study, the students may extend their residing permit by producing the Physical Examination Table (As to how to process it, refer to the above). For the new students, Bohai University will lead them together to MC to process the table, but the returning students should go there by their own. If they extend their residing permit but do not leave China within one year, then they may re-extend their residing permit without producing the table.
2.Residing Permit: If they hold X-visa upon entry, then the students must go to local police station to process the residing permit within 30 days since their entry. Otherwise, they will be regarded as illegal resident and will be punished by certain laws in China. F-visa holders need not do this.
3.Extension of Residing Permit: Before the expiration of the residing permit, the students must apply to security organizations for the extension. Timely extension of the residing permit will not result in illegal residence. At the beginning and ending of every term, International Student Office will process the extension of residing permit for students. Beyond that period, the students may process it by themselves.
N.B. The length of the extension should not exceed the length of their passport’s valid date. If they want to extend their passport, the students should by themselves apply to their country’s embassy in China 2 to 3 months in advance
1.Entry into and leaving China: When they transfer to Bohai University, or transfer from Bohai University to other schools, international students should let International Student Office know it, and then they may go to Jinzhou Police Station to process their residing permit.
2.Extension of and change of visa: For the students who hold short-term visa, if they want to study longer at Bohai University, Bohai University may help them to extend their visa, or to change the short-term visa to long-term visa.
If they want to change their visa to X-visa and meantime to get residing permit, they may refer to VII-2 for reference.
N.B. It takes about one week for the security organizations to process visa or permit, so the international students should do the above things well in advance. The price for the procedure is subject to change, so contact International Student Office for details.
