Day 1 Departure from your place/Xining/Lhasa
The tour through Mountain Everest starts from Xining City, the capital city of Qinghai Province in northwest China. On the first day, you will visit the Kumbum Monastery (also known as Ta’er), one of the six most renowned Buddhist monasteries under the principle of Tibetan Buddhism. It was there in the former, Tsongkhapa, the founder of the Gelupa (Yellow Hat) sect of Tibetan Buddhism was born in 1357 and was later founded in 1583. Its superior monastery is Drepung, immediately to the west of Lhasa. Its fabulous fresco, delicate barbola and lively butter sculptures are very impressive, representative of elite traditional Tibetan handicrafts. After the whole day tour, you will take the overnight hard-sleeper train to Lhasa.

Day 2 Day Train/Lhasa
Today you will spend the daytime on train journey. The Tibet railway is nicknamed as the sky railway, for it is the world’s highest railway. It runs through Kekexili, the land of Tibetan Antelope, the source of Yangtze River, Tanggula Mountains, which are higher than 20,000 feet and the snow never gets melted there. Great photo shots opportunities abound during the journey and you will arrive at Lhasa in the evening.

Day 3 Potala Palace / Jokhang Temple/ Barkhor Street
Today you will have one day city tour to explore the wonderful city Lhasa. You will visit those symbolic spots of religion and economy in Lhasa. Morning visit to Potala Palace (1.5h-2.5h), the symbol of Tibetan theocracy. It was built in 641 by Songtsan Gamboruler, ruler of the Tubo Kingdom, to welcome his fiancée- Princess Wencheng of the Tang Dynasty. Later it became the office and residence of Dalai Lama. In the afternoon, you will visit Jokhang Temple(1.5h), the holy land in Tibetan Buddhism. After that, have a total relax and roam along Bakhor Street(1h-2h) around Jokhang Temple, with stalls selling traditional Tibetan handicrafts on both sides.

Day 4 Grassland/ Jokul/ hot spring / Lake Namtso
After breakfast, you will be driven to Lake Namsto, literally meaning holy lake in Tibetan. As the highest salt-water lake in the world, Namtso is renowned as one of the most beautiful places in the Nyainqêntanglha mountain range. Its cave hermitages have for centuries been the destination of Tibetan pilgrims. During your back trip to Lhasa, you will take a bath at Yangba Well of Terrestrial Heat Hot Spring to get totally refresh and relaxed. The bath fee is at your own charge.

Day 5 Lhasa/ Lake Yamdrok/ Karuola Glacier/ Shigats
Today you will travel from Lhasa to Shigats, another major city in Tibet. During the trip you will have a stop to visit Lake Yamdrok. Both pilgrims and tourists can be seen walking along the lake’s perimeter, enjoying the diversified fauna and flora, admiring the snow-capped mountains in the distance and visiting the villages scattered along its shores. Sightseeing the old fort or castle called Pede Dzong contained by one of the lake’s islands and visiting the Palkor (Kumbum) Monastery. Founded in 1418, Pelkor by prince Rabtan Kusang was once a multi denominational complex of monasteries including Sakya, Gelupa and Boton sects. Kubum Stupa is multi door of stupa of Eight Bodhisattva Stupa of Buddhism. There are ten thousand images of Buddhas or Bodhisattvas painted on wall, made clay or made of copper and gilded gold. So people call it Kubum in version wich means “Ten Thousand Images Stupa”. You will stay overnight in Shigats.

Day 6 Shigats/ Tashilumpo Temple/ Xegar
In the morning, you will visit Tashilumpo Temple, the residence of Banchan Lama. It is one of the four monasteries of the Gelug Sect of Tibetan Buddhism. The largest indoor bronze statue up to 26 meters was worshipped in the temple and the 10th Bancha Lama was buried there too. It will take the whole afternoon (about 7 hours) to get to Xegar due to the road condition of a sort.

Day 7 Xegar/ Rongbuk Monastery / Everest Base Camp
Rongbuk monastery is the highest monastery in the world. It is only 200 metres (660 ft) lower than the north side Everest Base Camp of Mount Everest. The monastery is accessible today via vehicle by means of an undeveloped road. Climbers must pass through Rongbuk in order to reach the highest peak of Mount Everest via the North Face. It has been described as having some of the most dramatic views in the world, presenting a panorama of the Shishapangma, Mount Everest, Cho Oyu, and Gyachung Kang peaks to visitors.

Day 8 Everest Base Camp /Shigats 
Get up in the early morning to view the sunrising of Mont Everest in Everest Base Camp. After that, return to Shigats.

Day 9 Shigats/Lhasa
Today you will go back to Lhasa by the road along Brahmaputra Yarlung Zangbu River, accompanied by pious pilgrims along the way, for it is a religious cultivation for Tibetans to prostrate along the whole way to Lhasa.

Day 10 Lhasa/Leave for your place
Today is the last day of the tour. Wrap your luggage and say goodbye to your group mates.
