Established in April 1995, the School of Business Administration now has two departments: the Management Department on Huadong Campus and the Economic Management Department on Beijing Campus. Both departments offer 3 bachelor programs and two master programs. And the School plans to offer five more undergraduate programs, two more graduate programs and one Ph.D. program in near future.
After years of development, the School has obtained great achievements in economic management research. In the last five years, they accomplished more than 40 research projects, including 11 state or ministry key projects. The scientific research in the department involves medium or micro developing strategies, project planning, economic evaluation, management design and diagnosis, energy economy, system engineering, petroleum business, and financing and managing behavior in enterprises.
By now 177 students have been granted bachelor degrees and 90 students have granted master degrees from the School. At present the School has an enrollment of 493 undergraduate students, 61 graduate students, and 124 on-job students pursuing master degree.
The School is very active in international cooperation. It has invited many scholars from the US (University of Nebraska, University of Alaska, Virginian University, and San Jose State University), Canada (University of Calgary) and Russia to lecture here. In 1996 it successfully organized the first CNPC program in preparing multi-national business managers in cooperation with A&M University in Texas, U.S.A and an international symposium on petroleum economic management.
On the basis of the present three undergraduate programs, the School is planning to offer three more undergraduate programs in Economic Laws, Business English, and Management Information System. As to the graduate programs, it is planning to hold two more in MBA and accountancy beside the management engineering program. Now the School is expecting to offer Ph.D. program in near future.

The application for Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree, Doctoral degree: the applicants should apply 2 months before the academic semester begins.
The spring semester begins on February 20. The fall semester begins on September 1.
Entry requirements
For Bachelor’s degree:
Be above 18 years old, senior high school graduate, HSK3 certificate or above, in good health.
For Master’s degree:
Have Bachelor’s degree or above, under the age of 35, HSK4 certificate or above, academic score list, 2 recommended letters from two associate professors or above, in good health.
For Doctoral degree:
Have Master’s degree or above, under the age of 40, HSK4 certificate or above, academic score list, 2 recommended letters from two associate professors or above, in good health.
