The Faculty of Mechanical & Electronic Engineering was established in October, 1997, based on the former Department of Mechanical and Electronic Engineering and Research Center of New Material Engineering. The Faculty contains 4 departments and 2 research centers, namely Department of Mechanical and Electronic Engineering, Department of Electronics and Information Engineering, Department of Material Science and Engineering, Department of Automation, Automation Research Center and Research Center of Petroleum Equipment. At present, about 50 Ph.D. students, 150 master students and 650 undergraduate students are studying in different majors in the faculty.
The teaching power of the Faculty is strong and solid and it has been cultivating a large number of postgraduate students. The staff has rich experience in teaching and scientific research. A lot of projects have been completed and most of them have won national and provincial awards. The Faculty has published a great quantity of monographs, translation works and graduate teaching materials. In the faculty, it is home to laboratories with advanced instruments and facilities which provide beneficial conditions for teaching and scientific research.
The Faculty actively participates in domestic and international academic exchange. It has established a wide and long-term relationship with a considerable number of universities at home and abroad. Every year, it regularly sends some faculty member abroad to go further study and invites famous scholars and professors to lecture or work as part-time professors n the faculty.

The application for Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree, Doctoral degree: the applicants should apply 2 months before the academic semester begins.
The spring semester begins on February 20. The fall semester begins on September 1.
Entry requirements
For Bachelor’s degree:
Be above 18 years old, senior high school graduate, HSK certificate or above, in good health.
For Master’s degree:
Have Bachelor’s degree or above, under the age of 35, HSK certificate or above, academic score list, 2 recommended letters from two associate professors or above, in good health.
For Doctoral degree:
Have Master’s degree or above, under the age of 40, HSK6 certificate or above, academic score list, 2 recommended letters from two associate professors or above, in good health.
