The College of Chemical and Biological Technology enjoys a long history which can be traced back to 1958. In 1958, the College was the only college in Hebei Province which offered courses in Coking Chemistry and Refractory Material.
At present, the College offers three main programs, including Chemical Engineering and Technology, Applied Chemistry and Biotechnology. Under the subject of Chemical Engineering and Technology, it has four fields of Coal Chemistry Industry, Fine Chemistry Industry, and Proximate Analysis and so on.
The College is well structured and composed with a large powerful group of teachers. Now it has a faculty of 44 people, including 9 professors, 13 associate professors, 6 doctors. Making full use of the advanced teaching and research facilities in the College, the research group have made a lot of achievements in the area of chemistry.
Since its establishment, the College has cultivated more than 2500 undergraduate students for the society. Most of them have become the backbones in some large-scaled enterprises or organizations and made much contribution to the development of the society.
In the future, under the efforts of all the teachers and students in the College, it will develop itself into the one of the leading colleges in the field of coal industry in China.

Postgraduate students: 2.5 years
Application time
For spring semester, the deadline for application is the end of July; for autumn semester, the deadline is in the end of May. For foreign students who want to learn Chinese in the university, they could choose the time they like.

For Bachelor’s degree:
Senior high school graduate, HSK3 certificate or above, in good physical condition.
For Master’s degree:
Have Bachelor’s degree or above, HSK3 certificate or above, in good physical condition.
For Doctoral degree:
Have Master’s degree or above, HSK3 certificate or above, in good physical condition.
