The Department of Economics of Hebei University, found in 1960, was developed itself into the School of Economics in 1992. The School covers 6 departments, including Department of Economics, Department of Statistics, Department of Industrial Economics, Department of Public Finance Economics, Department of Accounting, and Department of International Economics.
It was revised 2 times in 1997 and in 2000. Currently, it covers 4 departments, including International Economics & Trade, Economics, Statistics and Finance, 4 institutes including Institutes of Japan, Institute of Larithmics, Institute of Regional Economics, and Institute of Recycling Economy, and one research center. World Economics is regarded as a doctoral station. The master stations it covers include 6 first-class programs of Political Economics, World Economics, Western Economics, Economy of Population & Resources & Environment, History of Economics, History of Economic Thinking, and 7 second-class programs of Statistics, Finance, National Economics, Larithmics, Regional Economics, International Trade, Quantity Economics. The 5 programs for Bachelor’s degree it offers are Statistics, Finance, Economics, Insurance, and International Economics & Trade.
In the past 40 years, the School has distinguished features in various fields, such as World Economics, Finance, Larithmics, and Statistics. The former 2 fields are regarded as the key disciplines provincially, while the latter 2 field are the key disciplines of Hebei University. The School has cultivated a large number of talents in Economic Management to the construction of National Economy. Moreover, it puts great emphasize on the construction of faculty members, majors, teaching management and teaching environment. The faculty has a high education level, a strong capacity of teaching and research, and sufficient practical experience.
In addition, the School is active in establishing wide relationships and corporations with universities and institutes domestically and internationally. It has close relationship with such countries including USA, Japan, Australia, Canada, England, France, and South Korea and so on.

For Master’s degree and Doctoral degree, the duration for application is from March to July.
Entry requirements
For Bachelor’s degree: the applicants should have senior high school diploma or equivalent, in good health and HSK3 certificate or above.
For Master’s degree: the applicants should have Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, recommended by two associate professors or above, in good health and HSK3 certificate or above.
For Doctoral degree:the applicants should have Master’s degree or equivalent, recommended by two associate professors or above, in good health and HSK3 certificate or above.
