The College of Humanities & Social Science was established on August 27th, 1997 with the approval of the Ministry of Forestry. Its precursor was the Political Education Section founded in 1952. Currently, the College offers the following 4 bachelor’s programs: Law, Political and Administrative Science, Advertising and Social Work. Law, Political and Administrative Science were known as the oldest departments among all the national forestry universities. And Social Work was the first established department among the universities as well. There are also 6 master’s programs and 1 doctoral program available in the college.
At present, the College has an enrollment of 1020 undergraduates and over 120 graduates. They are trained strictly with the combination of ideological knowledge and practical ability. The College aims to cultivate talents who can make great contributions to the society. The faculty of the College is characteristic of high political quality, high-level working ability and conscientious and meticulous in work. There are 99 full-time teachers with 13 full professors and 26 associate professors. About 80% of them are Master’s degrees.
The College lays great importance to scientific research. Since its establishment, it has made great achievements in various fields. The faculty has published more than 300 academic papers, 18 monographs, and 86 teaching materials. The College has undertaken a total number of 12 projects on national, provincial and ministerial levels.
With years of effort and development, the College has developed itself into a comprehensive college covering the education of humanities in the whole university, the construction of environment resources in law, and abundant and colorful practical activities. Moreover, it actively takes part in the international cooperation. It has a friendly and long relationship with many international famous universities. Depending upon religious teaching and high-qualified scientific research, the College has won a high reputation of its kind in the academic world.

For international students, Applicants can apply Chinese Program at any moment. But applicants must apply before July 30 of each year for degree program.
Entry requirements
For Bachelor’s degree:
Be above 18 years old and under the age of 35, senior high school graduate, HSK3 certificate or above, the copy of score list, in good health.
For Master’s degree:
Have Bachelor’s degree or above, under the age of 40, HSK3 certificate or above, the copy of score list and diploma, 2 recommended letters from two associate professors or above, in good health.
For Doctoral degree:
Have Master’s degree or above, under the age of 40, the copy of score list and diploma, 2 recommended letters from two associate professors or above, in good health.
