PRACTICE
Software Engineering cultivating of graduate students in the practice is divided into two parts: professional practice, comprehensive professional practice and engineering practice.
Professional practice, which lasts 4 weeks (32 hours) for 2 credits, is the compulsory part of each direction. Students develop the capabilities for application of knowledge, techniques and methods. Graduate students should complete the practice accordance with the provisions from the practice instructor and submit the final report.
Comprehensive professional practice, which lasts 10 weeks for 5 credits, is the compulsory part of software engineering. Graduate students should complete the practice accordance with the provisions from the school instructor and submit the final report.
Engineering practice is included in the thesis work, from their school instructors and practice instructors together. Graduate students should submit a study plan in practice and write a summary report.
DISSERTATION
Use dual instructor system. The school instructor is responsible for theoretical study while the practice instructor for practice. Graduate students should develop dissertation work plan and implement.
The topics of dissertation should be directly derived from the practice enterprises, or involve a clear background and application value.
The students should complete his/her dissertation independently. The dissertations should be systematic and integrative with certain degree of technical difficulty and development effort.
DEGREE
The students who complete the fostering proposals and pass the thesis defense will earn a master's graduate diploma. A master’s degree will be granted after the approval by the Degree Assessment Committee.
