Day by day itinerary
Day 1
Leave Xi’an for Jiayuguan by train.
Day 2
Appreciate landscapes and sceneries on the train. Arrive at Jiayuguan in the evening.
Day 3
After breakfast, visit the City gate mansion of the Jiayuguan, which enjoys prestigious fame for being the start point of the Great Wall. After lunch, go to Dunhuang by bus. Visit the Yardangs Field, which is also the shooting place of the famous film “Hero”.
Day 4
In the morning, visit the treasure of Chinese grottos-----Mogao Grottos. In the afternoon, admire the magic scene of Whistling Sand Hill; then visit the Moon Spring. The unique geographical features made the Moon Spring have never go dry for more than 2000 years. In the evening, go to Urumqi by train.
Day 5
After breakfast, go to Turfan. Along the way, travelers can visit the largest wind power plant------Dabancheng Wind Power Plant; admire the landscape of salty lake. Turfan is the hottest place in Xinjiang, which is called “open-air museum”. Visit the Jiaohe Ancient City. Then visit ancient village of Uygur nationality. Afterwards, visit the Mountains of Flame, Karez and Grape Valley.
Day 6
Go to Tianchi Lake in the morning. Tianchi Lake is the national key tourism attraction, which has a picturesque landscape with snow mountains, pine trees, and crystal clean lakes. Then visit the local big market-----bazaar. In the evening, return to Xi’an by train or plane.
Day 7
Appreciate the landscape along the way.
Day 8
Arrive at Xi’an in the morning and finish the happy journey.
