Day by day itinerary
Day 1
Go to Urumqi from Xi’an by train.
Day 2
Appreciate beautiful sceneries on the train.
Day 3 Urumqi-Turfan
Arrive at Urumqi in the morning, then go to Turfan by bus. Along the way, travelers can visit the largest wind power plant------Dabancheng Wind Power Plant; admire the landscape of salty lake. Turfan is the hottest place in Xinjiang, which is called “open-air museum”. Visit the Jiaohe Ancient City. Then visit ancient village of Uygur nationality. Afterwards, visit the Mountains of Flame, Karez and Grape Valley.
Day 4 Urumqi-Tianchi Lake
Go to Tianchi Lake in the morning. Tianchi Lake is the national key tourism attraction, which has a picturesque landscape with snow mountains, pine trees, and crystal clean lakes. Then visit the local big market-----bazaar. In the evening, return to Kashagar by plane.
Day 5 Kashagar-Kalakuli Lake
Go to Kalakuli Lake. The lake has clean water in ordinary weather, but when a storm is coming, the water turns into dark grey, even black. Therefore, the lake is also called “Black Lake”. Along the way, travelers can admire the landscape.
Day 6 Kashagar-Urumqi
After breakfast, visit the biggest Islam temple----Aitigaer Mosque. In the mosque, travelers can admire lush trees as well as the religious atmosphere. Afterwards, visit the ancient tomb of a beautiful woman-----a concubine of the emperor. Then visit the local big market-----bazaar.
Day 7
Travelers can take free activities in the morning, then return to Xi’an by train in the evening.
Day 8
Admire the beautiful landscapes along the way.
Day 9
Arrive at Xi’an and finish the happy journey.
