b. Graduate Student
Applicants for Master’s Degree should be under 35 years of age, with a Chinese Bachelor of Science or the educational background equivalent to Bachelor of Science. The applicants should be healthy and have good morality. Furthermore, they should conscientiously observe Chinese law, regulations and disciplines of our university.
c. Doctoral Candidates
Applicants for Ph.D should be under 40 years of age, with a Master’s Degree conferred by China or the educational background equivalent to Master’s Degree of China. The applicants should conscientiously observe Chinese law, regulations and disciplines of our university.
d. Language Student
Applicants for Language Learning: should be healthy, with the educational background above high school and there is no limit for age.
2. TUITION AND LIVING EXPENSES
In order to encourage overseas students to receive higher education in our university, we have offered the preferential tuition and living expenses. The standard charges are as follows:
Tuition: USD1800/ year (undergraduate students)
USD2500/year (graduate students)
USD4000/year (doctorate students)
Application fee: USD30 (mail to the Office of International Students of NUST together with application documents)
To encourage excellent international students and students from Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan and overseas Chinese, the university has set up scholarship. You can contact the Office of International Students about the condition of application and about the method of assessment.
3. Application Procedure
The international students who want to study at NUST should submit application forms including the following materials:
The Enrolment Application for Foreign Students (The application form can be obtained from the Foreign Students Affairs Office or downloaded from internet)
The copies of certificate of graduation or materials of educational background and school records
As soon as the application is approved, the university will send you the Visa Application for Study in China (JW202) and Admission Notice. Please apply for an X (study) Visa from a Chinese Embassy or General Consulate by showing the Admission Notice, Visa Application Form (JW202), Passport and Health Examination Report.
