Tour Schedule:
Day 1: Arrive in Beijing
Our well-trained English-speaking tour guide & private coach will pick you up at the airport and transfer you to the hotel, take a good rest in the hotel on your own.
At 6:30 pm, be picked up and transfer to the restaurant where welcome dinner will be served. Be transferred back to the hotel afterwards.
Meal: Dinner
Day 2: City tour + local family visit + Acrobatic Show
Hotel pick-up at 8:30 am, then take a tour to the Tiananmen Square & Forbidden City, later on, drive to Hutong area (traditional part of Beijing) to visit a local family and learn how to make dumpling with host/hostess, then enjoy traditional lunch with your dumpling.
In the afternoon, sit on rickshaw to experience the ancient Hutong alleys and climb up on 700-year old Bell tower – offers a bird view of the traditional part of Beijing.
Dinner will be arranged at 6:00 pm, then enjoy the famous acrobatic show.
Be transferred back to the hotel at 9:00 pm

Day 3: Ming tomb + great wall tour + camping
Hotel check-out & pick-up at 8:30 am, then drive for 1.5 hours to go to Ding Tomb- the burial ground of 13th emperor in the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644), it’s the only tomb excavated among 13 Ming tombs.
Lunch will be arranged in a nearby restaurant.
In the afternoon, drive for another 1 hour to get to Mutianyu Great Wall – the prettiest section of the Great Walls in Beijing. Hike on the wall for 1.5-2 hours.
Later on, transfer to the camping site, where locates inside a park called "Little West Lake". The unique feature at this park is not only the lake, but the Great Wall which dips into the water from one side and comes out from the other.
The camping site sits in the 400 year old Ming Chestnut Garden and next to the Great Wall. In this Chestnut Garden, many old chestnut trees were planted by soldiers during the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644), hence the name.
Later on, you have free time. There are various activities on offer which include fishing, exploring the mountain valley, or a boat ride on the lake to see where the Great Wall dips into the water.
Camp dinner will be arranged for 6:30 pm on the lake beach. If you prefer, self-service barbecue is available too.
*Please note that if the group size is more than 10, a campfire will be offered.
Enjoy your night sleeping in the 400-year old Ming Chestnut Garden with the Great Wall just seconds away.
Meals: Picnic lunch and camp dinner
Day 4: University + city tour
Light breakfast. Be ready for 9:30am.
If you are ready early you can enjoy more water activities and explore further in the mountain valleys.
At 9:30am leave for the city. Visit the Peking University first, enjoy 1.5 hours tour at the campus, tour including to the famous museum called Sackler Museum and Weiming Lake, if time permit, pay a visit to the tomb of the famous American writer called "Edgar Snow”.
Lunch at a restaurant nearby, then drive to Summer Palace – the largest imperial garden in the existence in China, where Emperor & Empress to spent the hot summer days.
Tour in the Summer Palace for 1.5 hours, then transfer back to the Hotel,
Dinner at 6:30.

Day 5: departure
Hotel check-out & pick-up based on your flight details, then transfer to the airport to catch your flight home/next destination.

Note:
There are more than 4 million vehicles in Beijing, and it is said that approximately 30,000 cars are sold every month, so heavy traffic is constant in the city (Rush Hours from 7:30-9:30 in the morning and 16:30-19:30 in the afternoon). We will try our best to tour according to the timetable, but we cannot guarantee that traffic will not delay our schedule. Our tour guide will notify you if a delay occurs.
There will be an extended amount of walking during this tour, therefore it is recommended that you wear sport shoes and clothes which are suitable for outdoor activities.
Camping notes:
It might be a bit cold in the evening and early morning, warm clothes are recommended to bring some.
In the event of rain, accommodation will be arranged in a local farmer's house nearby the Great Wall instead of camping.
