Day 01Arrival in Beijing

Our guide will pick you up at Beijing airport and transfer you to the hotel. Your hotel, which is well located in the city center, is very close to the famous Wangfujing - Beijing's major shopping area. Relax during the remainder of the afternoon and evening to recover from the jet lag.

Day 02Beijing

Before the tour starts, a pre-tour introductory talk will be delivered in the hotel. You will meet the other members of your group at that time. Your first stop today is the impressive Tian'anmen Square, the heart of Beijing City. The square, which could hold 1000,000 people at the same time, is an assembling place for celebrations in some traditional Chinese festivals and important events. From there you will enter the imperial palace of the Ming and the Qing dynasties known as the Forbidden City to explore its many fascinating halls and pavilions. It tells people about the change of the royal court for about 600 years and the several thousand years' history of Chinese civilization. It's the largest ancient palace complex in the world and also the place that 24 emperors of Ming and Qing dynasties lived in. You will then go to the Temple of Heaven, the place where the Emperors worshipped the heaven for good harvests. To round off a memorable start to your tour, we will arrange the Beijing speciality Duck Dinner at a famous restaurant followed by a lively Red Theater Chinese Kung Fu Show.(B+L+D)

Day 03Beijing

This morning you will be taken to Badaling where you will experience at first hand the wonder of the Great Wall, a priceless heritage left by the Chinese ancestry. Can you imagine how the laboring people in ancient China made such a great project by their hands? Without modern machines, equipments and construction materials, the Wall was well designed and built in accordance with the local geographical features. Just when you stand on the Wall and see its grandness, you will find it is no wonder that Great Wall has the vigor to surprise the whole world. To celebrate and memorialize this moment, we specially prepare red wine for a group toasting to each other on the Great Wall and sharing their enjoyment. For lunch, we have arranged for a special meal to be served at a local popular Sichuan restaurant. Later the journey will take you to the Sacred Way and the Ming Tomb in the peaceful shadow of Longevity Mountain. Conclude the full day tour after taking a glance of the Bird's Nest (Olympic National Stadium) en route to downtown. This evening, we will arrange a delicious meal at a delicate restaurant.(B+L+D)

Day 04Beijing

This morning you will visit the Summer Palace and the lovely giant pandas in Beijing Zoo. In the afternoon, you will trace the old Beijing culture by walking through the original Hutong alleys, appreciate the oldest gray brick courtyard residence and capture the lifestyles of local families.(B+L)

Day 05Departure from Beijing

After breakfast, you will travel to the airport for your homeward flight by yourselves. However, should you wish to stay on rather than return home right away, we would suggest you choose our City Packages as an extension to your China adventure!(B)
